Governance and Oversight
The Foundation is overseen in accordance with its governing documents and applicable nonprofit law. Governance-level oversight is provided by individuals who are not school employees in order to maintain appropriate separation and accountability.
School staff may support the Foundation through fundraising, referrals, administration, and implementation of Foundation-supported activities, but do not govern the Foundation.
Stewardship
The Foundation is committed to responsible stewardship of its resources. Funds are used solely to advance the Foundation’s charitable purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Community Outreach and Engagement
The Foundation may support community outreach and engagement efforts that help families learn about St. Paul City School, understand its programs and values, and build relationships with the school community. This may include funding outreach services, events, communications, translation, and other engagement activities that support families in making informed educational choices. Any compensation for outreach or engagement services shall be reasonable, documented, and based on services rendered.
